Powerful protection for on-line software

Soft Pier is an Active Server Page (Application Service Provider) service that enables license management, links to payment servers, and encryption of on-line software with no modifications to the original applications.

When the software being installed is decrypted, SkillUpJapan's Soft Pier ASP Center is contacted automatically via the Internet. After the license has been authenticated, the software can be installed.

License management can be easily customized, for example to limit the number of times the software can be installed, the number of separate PCs, or the number of times the software is started up. In this way, the system can be applied not only to conventional sales models, but also to "Try & Buy" sales models.

Soft Pier uses an ASP, so it can be implemented with minimal costs. Convenience is one of the main features of this system; the installer itself is encrypted, so there is no need to modify the application itself.
