Responding accurately to growing demand for e-learning
The increasing performance of PCs and the widespread proliferation of broadband networks is expected to bring about a further increase in the demand for e-learning.
SkillUpJapan's e-learning solutions are packages that combine Adobe Flash and other video and interactive contents, to enable the construction of systems suited to the materials provided and the level of users.
Our lineup also includes "Mobile Study," which is specially designed for mobile applications, allowing end users to access e-learning materials anytime, anywhere.
/ Both Mobile Study and e-learning for PCs feature easy-to-use management tools to ensure flexible operations in keeping with the users' goalsTotal support for e-learning based on advanced technological capabilities
E-learning services require a high level of technological capabilities, including easy-to-use management tools and the databases operating in the background.
SkillUpJapan supports not only the construction of e-learning sites, but also development of new infrastructures, backbone systems, and applications. We can provide services that are ideally suited to the goals of your e-learning site.
NetStudy Example of implementation
"Intelligence Measurement System" developed jointly with Prime Labo is customized for Riso Kyoiku Co., Ltd.
"TOMAS Check"
"MI Theory" will help to nurture your child's intelligence
New service for Riso Kyoiku based on MI Theory
"TOMAS Check"MI [Multiple Intelligences] theory was first put forward by Harvard University Professor Howard Gardner in 1983. The theory essentially states that there are eight types of intelligence, each of which has developed to a different degree in each individual.
This system, which incorporates MI theory, was developed through detailed studies and design activities conducted jointly with Prime Labo. The child's intelligence is measured using a web-based questionnaire, and the measurement results are output in the form of a chart. Reports provide advice separately to the parents and the child, to assist the parents in understanding and fostering their child's intelligence.
System introduced at 58 TOMAS schools
This system was customized for Riso Kyoiku Co., Ltd., which operates the TOMAS chain of private schools, to ensure affinity with the company's educational policies and flow of operations. This system is currently used as part of the education program at 58 TOMAS schools.
Prime Labo's detailed attention to content
When developing this system, we carefully considered Riso Kyoiku's image and the perspective of the students attending TOMAS classes. One aspect that received particularly detailed attention in our work with Prime Labo was the contents, such as questionnaire items, comments, and advice.
In terms of design, we created a site with a friendly atmosphere, and used different question formats for children and parents (for example, on the children's questionnaire, the hiragana alphabet is used in place of more difficult Kanji characters).
Comments from the staff
The final outcome of the customization for Riso Kyoiku was a system that is easy for children to use (in other words, it is easy for the children to do the evaluation). I think that this is a truly enjoyable system which will contribute to growth and development for both adults and children.
You can do a free trial evaluation at the following site (Japanese only)
If you have children, we encourage you to give it a try.
